“Common sense says that you provide for those who provide for the common defense.”
A strong national defense is the best of way to guarantee the security of the United States. Today, we are at war globally. It is a burden that is carried by the men and women of our armed forces and intelligence services. I will work to ensure that the United States maintains the most effective national defense in the world.
We must demand that our political leaders develop responsible policies that, above all else, protect the American people and defend our homeland. We must also demand that when Congress authorizes the use of military force, Congress then supports our troops and intelligence personnel in the field with every necessary resource. Our troops are the guardians of our freedom. The funding of their mission should never be used as a bargaining chip to be exchanged for pet political projects.
As a Congressman that has served in our armed forces, I will stand up boldly for the rights of those who defend us. I will defend not only service members, but intelligence professionals and agents, and all of those in the defense industry who risk their lives daily to protect freedom around the world.
My focus is on protecting our people and our homeland from the threats we face every day.
