Our nation is facing difficult times, and difficult choices. Here in Colorado, small businesses have to make cutbacks, layoff dedicated employees, and try to budget for an uncertain future where they could see their tax rates increase and the cost of health care continue to spiral out of control.
Families across Colorado…across all fifty states sit down at the kitchen table and make the toughest of choices. How will the mortgage payment be made for the month? Will we have to dip into kids' college funds to bridge the gaps? Will I have a job tomorrow?
But, families are making those decisions and they are finding ways to survive the economic downturn. Once you have the American Dream, it never goes away…you persevere.
Now, it is time for leaders in Washington, D.C. and Colorado to start making better decisions to help our families at this critical time. Handing our grandchildren a debt of $11 trillion…raising taxes on small businesses…and going into the business of government bailouts are not wise choices.
There is a better, more responsible way. It’s called the American way and we must get our government back on course.
If you believe in fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, energy independence, education reform, affordable health care and strong national security…I want you on our Team.
If you want your liberties restored, pocketbooks protected, and national sovereignty defended…I want you on our Team.
Together, we can solve problems for the long-term. Our children and grandchildren are relying on our vision…they are building their American Dream by the blueprints we create today.
